Even though I just got back from a wonderful vacation, I'm ready to be on a sailboat. Its always been a secret life dream of mine to go on a sailing excursion, for days/weeks/months out on the open sea, with a husband who happens to be an expert sailor. A girl can dream....

I had a dream two nights ago that I went on a roadtrip across the country with this one boy I used to have a crush on. In my dream he let me dress him up, how I wished he dressed in real life, and of course I wore adorable little numbers like this...making us ~~probably~~ the cutest roadtrip couple in history.

it's sunday, the sabbath, and I feel like trying to be pretty today. this outfit is pretty much incredible. I love vintage, classic fashions because they're timeless, preciously fabulous, and remind me a little of what my sweet grandmother, Mary Ann, would have worn. so on this day I choose to wear an Embellished brocade dress by Vera Wang (one of my fave designers), gold studded pointy heels, brownish bronze beaded evening bag, and to top off this amazing look, liquid eyeliner curling at the edges of the eyes.

ps my fave is the far left pokey-dot with cardigan. This is like the one and only way that it is fashionably agreed to wear socks with sandals. the rules clearly state that tube socks and tevas do NOT count as appropriate.

ok this is one of my most favorite outfits, but you may have to use your imagination a little with this one. the striped graphic tee, tucked into the high waisted blue button skirt, with the brown leather skinny belt through the loops. A pair of sandals with a fedora.

simple little dress, probably cream or ivory in color, a warm, cozy over-sized sweater. stockings as I like to call them and an amazing little hat with a flower decal. couldn't get much sweeter than this. People might look at me and think innocent. But I think comfortable and precious.

Most of the outfits I'll be posting about will be warm weather ones because I'm hoping that mother-nature will notice and make it become spring sooner. (she reads my blog you know..ha)
I love little shorts but I hate my knees so I would never wear them but I really do love them with a great pair of worn-in chucks. and a great raspberry scarf for color. I'm pretty sure that I love this ring so much that you may find it on ever post from here on out. Lastly, the hair style of the girl with the scarf, I will have just gone to the salon today to get my hair cute like this. I love love love it! yes please I'd like a mullet, but a fantastic one!

This outfit was inspired by the actual outfit that ignited the flame of my burning love for fashion. Let me explain... in the movie Sweet Home Alabama, Melanie Carmichael (Reese Witherspoon) is finishing some unfinished business and goes to see her ex who is out on the water working on his plane. She comes out with this cute little black floral sundress, a teal or greenish scarf and brown cowgirl boots. Its random but when I saw that outfit and how unusual it was but how perfect it all came together, I was hooked on making this look different yet, amazing. So for a tribute to that outfit, here is a little black sundress, scarf, amazing boots and a cuff to top off the assemble.

Basically I just love the red boots. I'm all about the spark of color to an otherwise, colorless outfit (which isn't always a bad thing). Although I swore off skinny jeans because I saw so many people wearing them that should NOT have been (and I swore that if I looked anything like that in them then I would rather die but I love them too much!) I think skinny jeans are probably my fave when they are worn on the right body type (ie sienna miller below). And in NY there is nothing better than a a knit hat to keep your head warm while still looking bohemian. But really this outfit was chosen solely for the red boots. I heart them.

for valentines day, in the perfect world, I'd be dating or married to the most charmingly handsome, ooberly romantic guy who had this whole fancy even planned for us. And of course I'd have a killer red dress like this little number. But I believe its the coat thats most important as that February in NY is freaking freezing. So although the dress is great, the black pea coat from victoria secret is absolutely fantastic. With an amazing black pump, you're ready for a night on the town with prince charming.

i kind of really love this outfit. i'm not sure why but it feels good to wear something like this when its still freezing outside. one piece little dress with casual walking sandals, sunglasses and a brown bag to carry everything including a light jacket in case it gets cold.

a knit mini skirt with warm, black leggings, a patterned blouse and a fabulous pair of boots help jump start my day. and to top the ensemble off with a headband for sure to rock people's socks off. all courtesy of urban outfitters.

this is basically an archive of all of the clothes i wish i could wear, wish that i owned and would like the share with to world. i love fashion and love to wear whatever i want with confidence. so here's todays outfit of choice

{Day 1}
a short patterned dress with long neutral colored 'boyfriend' cardigan. small belt and of course tall, flat black boots. i'm also obsessed with birds. so you may see these gold birdy earrings appearing pretty frequently.
